    Versions 2.x Through 4.3

    • Grew from the original death-sound and immortality plugin into a broader SMP plugin.
    • Added the systems that were fully present by 4.4, including nickname and skin tools, GUI controls, admin toggles, and more server management features.
    • Expanded the command set around immortality, punishments, moderation, and utility features.

    Version 4.4

    • Brought together the older UnstableSMP feature set around immortality, death ban, nicknames, and custom skins.
    • Added fast regen, anti armor break, record mode, server freeze, optimization settings, randomizer support, and keep-inventory options.
    • Exposed the /unstablesmp GUI with subcommands for nick, skin, resetnick, resetskin, immortality, fastregen, antiarmor, recordmode, freeze, deathbanbypass, and reload.
    • Improved nickname-based player lookup and older command or tab-completion support around that nickname system.

    Versions 5.0 Through 5.9

    • Started the larger merge and modernization work that shaped the current UnstableSMPDeathSound plugin.
    • Added requested SMP features such as fishing rod systems, orbital strikes, and mafia tags alongside the existing death and proximity features.
    • Added more in-game control over feature toggles, including changing the death sound from commands or GUI paths.
    • Improved compatibility across Paper, Folia, and Purpur.
    • Expanded random nickname and random skin workflows and continued improving name and skin handling.

    • Fixed Fast Regen so enabling it from commands or GUI paths also turns on the main config flag.

    • Reworked the nickname and skin system.

    • Reworked visible-name handling so chat and in-game presentation follow the new identity model.

    • Added nickname-aware command rewriting at the correct listener priority.
    • Added nickname-aware tab completion for command completions.
    • Aligned join, quit, and death messages more closely with the nickname system.
    • Fixed direct nickname and skin command flow so it matches the new backend instead of the older path.
    • Kept the Fast Regen and Anti Armor Break toggle fixes stable through the 5.11 to 5.13 line.

    Version 1.1 - Immortality & Proximity Update

    This update expands the plugin far beyond just death sounds and adds several major SMP-focused systems and quality-of-life improvements.

    • Added a full immortality system for special players
    • Added standalone /immortal management commands
    • Added /immortal set, /immortal unset, /immortal toggle, /immortal list, and /immortal reload
    • Added persistent immortality data so immortal players stay saved after restarts
    • Added fatal damage protection for immortal players
    • Added chat control modes: NORMAL, DISABLED, and PROXIMITY
    • Added proximity chat support
    • Added configurable death punishments with KICK and BAN
    • Added configurable death sound range settings
