Quick Craft
This mod allows you to craft items from nearby chests without having to collect the items from them.
QuickCraft
Craft faster with materials from nearby storage.
QuickCraft upgrades the vanilla crafting flow by letting recipes pull ingredients from nearby chests (and connected chest networks), while keeping the experience close to vanilla.
What it does
- Uses items from your nearby containers when filling crafting recipes.
- Supports both player inventory and nearby chest inventories as crafting sources.
- Correctly places items in the proper crafting-grid slots for shaped recipes.
- Filters recipe-book cycling to variants you can actually craft with available materials.
- Includes an in-game settings menu for search behavior.
- Works with Furnaces, smokers, and blast furnaces.
In-game settings
Open the settings menu with:
/quickcraft
Available options:
- Search Distance (slider): choose how far QuickCraft searches for containers (up to 64 blocks).
- Chain Mode (toggle): if enabled, QuickCraft follows touching/connected chests from any chest already in range.
- This example here one of the marked chests contains 64 birch planks and the other 64 oak planks
! - Resulting in the ability to create oak stairs (or birch) from those linked chests

Settings are saved automatically when you close the menu.
Why QuickCraft?
Vanilla crafting is great, but repeatedly moving items between chests and your inventory gets tedious in larger bases. QuickCraft keeps the vanilla recipe-book workflow while removing busywork.
Compatibility notes
- Designed for modern multiloader environments.
- Works with standard chest/container-based storage discovery around the player.
- Built to preserve vanilla feel (no custom crafting system replacement).
If you run into issues with specific modded containers, please report them with loader + Minecraft version details.
