    New Features

    Water Parallax

    preview Water parallax adds additional depth to water waves, making the surface appear more realistic.

    New Caustics (+ tweaked underwater visibility)

    image Caustics are no longer tied to the shadow map resolution, allowing them to be sharp even on low shadow map resolutions. They also use a new animation that's texture based instead of procedural. The absorption and scattering of water has also been tweaked.

    Colorwheel Support

    Colorwheel is now supported! This means that Create contraptions can correctly render, and contribute to coloured lighting. I don't have any screenshots for this unfortunately.

    Voxy Support (experimental)

    Voxy is also now supported, although still experimental. 2025-11-27_23 32 32

    Adjustable Block Selection Outline

    2025-11-27_23 36 31 The colour of the block selection outline is now consistent regardless of scene brightness or exposure, and the colour can be adjusted, or set to ✨ mode to change in hue over time.

    Distant Horizons Blending

    Distant Horizons terrain is now dithered to blend with vanilla terrain.

    • Auto Exposure! The brightness of the scene is now automatically adjusted based on...the brightness of the scene

    New Features

    Coloured Lighting

    2025-03-12_20 23 50 This can be toggled with the new "colored blocklight" option. Note that it is off by default! Held light sources currently do not support coloured lighting and will use the default lighting colour. I hope to get this fixed soon, but am reluctant to implement a solution requiring me to hardcode the colour of every light source.

    Godrays

    preview There are both screen space and volumetric options - screen space being faster but looking wrong in some situations and not workinng when the sun is offscreen.

    Cloud Shadows

    image Clouds now cast shadows on the terrain, as well as through fog!

    Light scattering in water

    Parallax

    image Adding depth to your blocks and entities with a suitable resource pack.

    Improvements

    • Specular highlights should no longer explode at glancing angles

    This is a really bad naming scheme but I won't call it v1.0 until I fix the issues on Intel UHD graphics, in the meantime...
