The biggest xChat update to date! We have rewritten a large part of the plugin's core to offer superior performance, native support for the latest Paper technologies, and new Premium features that will take your server's chat to the next level.

✨ New Features

• Native Support for MiniMessage & Hex Colors: We've ditched the old legacy color system, and xChat is now 100% powered by the Adventure API. Enjoy beautiful gradients, Hex colors (&#RRGGBB), and <color> tags with zero bugs or visual glitches.
• Premium Mentions System (@player): Players can now mention each other in the chat! When mentioned, the target player will hear a customizable sound and see an on-screen Title/Subtitle. Everything is fully configurable in the new extra.yml file.
• Native ChatColor GUI System: You no longer need external menu plugins! We've built an ultra-fast, secure, and native internal menu engine.
  • /chatcolor: Opens a stunning GUI for VIP players to select their chat color.
  • /chatcolorshop: A built-in GUI shop hooked to Vault Economy to buy chat colors with in-game currency.
• Smart Auto-Completion (Tab Completer): A global TabCompleter system has been implemented. Pressing the TAB key will now smoothly auto-complete commands, player names, colors, and specific arguments.

🚀 Improvements & Optimizations

• Improved Private Messages: The /msg and /reply commands have been entirely rewritten. They now safely parse MiniMessage formatting, preventing any kind of code injection if the player lacks the proper permissions.
• New PlaceholderAPI Expansion: An internal expansion is now registered automatically. You can use the %xchat_currentcolor% placeholder in other plugins to check which color a player currently has equipped.
• Optimized Storage: Chat colors chosen by players are now safely stored separately in a new local users.yml database.
• Magic Retro-compatible Translator: Do you have old ranks with codes like &c or &#FF0000? No problem! xChat now includes a real-time translator that automatically converts your old legacy formats to the new Paper standard.

⚙️ Configuration Changes (Important!)

To enjoy all these new features, new files will be generated upon starting the plugin:

• ➕ extra.yml: To configure mention sounds, volumes, and titles.
• ➕ users.yml: Local database file to store user chat colors.
• 🔄 config.yml & messages.yml: Both files have received a complete redesign, featuring a much cleaner, aesthetic, and modern visual style (xPlugins Premium design).

This update focuses on visual polish and critical stability fixes. We have adopted the "Sender Style" aesthetic: clean, modern, and easy to read.

Anti-Repetition: Prevents players from sending the same message over and over.

Anti-Color Codes: Prevents users without permission (xchat.colors) from using & or # in the chat.

⚠️ Attention! Major Configuration Changes With this major update, we have separated the configuration to make it easier to manage:

📄 New messages.yml!: All plugin messages, from errors to PM formats, have been moved to messages.yml. You can now easily translate or customize every word of the plugin!

To update correctly from v1.0.1, it is MANDATORY that you delete your old configuration folder (plugins/xChat/). Back up your formats if you wish, and let the plugin generate the new files upon restarting.
