This is one of the biggest, most stable, and most polished updates Theosis has received so far.
This update focuses on performance, balance, bug fixes, internal compatibility, translations, bosses, variants, structures, loot, and new perks.
Thank you so much for your patience and for continuing to use the plugin. Even though I haven’t been as active lately, I’m still keeping an eye on reports and improvements. This version aims to provide a much more stable foundation for future updates.
🚀 General Perk Optimization
All 90 perks in the plugin were reviewed and optimized.
Some perks were doing heavier checks than necessary, especially on modest servers or servers with several players online. To improve this, a per-player cache system was added. This helps avoid constantly rechecking equipment, perks, and conditions when it is not needed.
In short:
- Fewer repeated checks.
- Better performance on smaller servers.
- Less load during frequent events.
- More stable and efficient perks.
- All perks were reviewed and tested.
This optimization helps Theosis run lighter without losing functionality.
🔱 Spears Have Finally Arrived in Theosis!
After many tests, spears have finally been added to the plugin.
Spears can now appear in loot, receive improved stats, and use their own special perks. They were also added to the rarity, balance, and equipment generation systems.
This is a great improvement for players using newer Minecraft versions, since they can now loot and find spears with unique abilities as a new weapon category inside Theosis.
Spears also come with buffed stats, making them feel useful, strong, and worth using.
✨ 10 New Spear Perks
This update adds 10 new perks made specifically for spears.
These were some of my favorite perks to create because not all of them are only focused on combat. Some also bring utility, mobility, exploration, and survival benefits.
🌀 Martial Whirlwind
Shift + right click to deal area damage. Perfect for controlling groups of nearby enemies.
🐎 Warsteed
Allows you to summon an ally into battle. A perk designed to provide support and presence during combat.
⚡ Storm Javelin
Shift + right click to launch an electric discharge. It has 3 levels and improves depending on its rarity.
🌬️ Piercing Gale
The spear’s edge reaches enemies hiding behind the target. Perfect for hitting enemies in a straight line.
🌩️ Thunder Charge
Every 5 attacks, the spear calls down lightning on the target. It improves with each level and can deal electric area damage.
🍖 Forager’s Spear
When hunting, it can duplicate food and simple drops. A very useful perk for survival and farming.
🛡️ Guardian Thrust
When receiving damage, it creates a particle barrier and pushes nearby enemies away. Higher levels improve the damage reduction and knockback.
📍 Beacon Point
Shift + right click to save a temporary location. Use it again to return to the saved point.
It includes validations to prevent abuse, such as combat blocking and world restrictions.
💡 Cave Light
While holding the spear, it softly lights up the darkness. Very useful for exploring caves without depending so much on torches.
🟣 Voidpiercer
In the End, allows you to throw an ender pearl with Shift + left click. A perk designed for advanced mobility and exploration in this dimension.
🏛️ Structure Optimization
The structure generation system was improved.
Theosis now validates more precisely when and where a structure can generate, preventing structures from overlapping, duplicating, or appearing too close to each other.
This was a rare bug, but it was very annoying when it happened. With this update, structure generation is cleaner and more stable.
🛠️ Creative Mode Damage Bug Fixed
A bug was fixed where administrators in Creative Mode / GM 1 could no longer damage mobs or players.
The issue came from a damage validation rule that was too strict. That rule has now been adjusted correctly, and admins can once again deal damage while in Creative Mode.
🌐 Translation and YML File Improvements
Annoying spaces, formatting issues, and translation details were corrected in the
.ymlfiles.The plugin is now better translated and the configuration files have a cleaner structure.
It is recommended to delete the
langfolder so it can regenerate with the updated texts.
👹 Troll Bosses Fixed
Troll bosses have been fixed.
Their chances were previously too low, which made them almost impossible to find. The percentages have now been adjusted so they can appear more frequently and actually be seen in-game.
It is important to delete
bosses.ymlso the updated file can be generated with the new values.
🎁 Boss Loot Improved
Boss loot was also corrected.
Before, some boss drops did not receive the correct enchantments according to their rarity. Now boss drops properly match their expected level, rarity, and quality.
This makes defeating bosses feel more fair and rewarding.
🧬 Variant System Optimized
The variant system was corrected and optimized.
Before, some validations were refreshing too frequently, affecting performance. Now the system is much more efficient and no longer depends on unnecessary checks every second.
This greatly improves overall performance, especially on servers with many active mobs.
🧪 New Option in
/theosis hubThe
/theosis hubcommand now includes an option to remove perks or effects from items.Before, there was no comfortable way to remove perks from weapons. Now a new section was added where players can select and remove the desired perk.
All perks were also updated and added to the command so the system is complete.
📚 Arcane Library Fixed
An important issue with the Arcane Library was fixed.
Previously, when a player withdrew a high-level book, such as level 7 or level 10, the table correctly subtracted the points. The problem happened when the player stored that book again: the system did not calculate its value correctly and treated it like a low-level book.
This caused players to lose points.
Now books are calculated correctly regardless of their level. If a player stores high-level books, the library will now add the correct amount of points.

config.ymlwere corrected.It is necessary to delete this file so it can regenerate with the correct spacing and values.
⚠️ Important Update Notice
Because of all the balance changes, new spears, new perks, boss improvements, loot improvements, translations, and formatting fixes, it is recommended to regenerate several files.
Before deleting anything, make a backup of your current configuration files.
Recommended files and folders to regenerate:

Recommended update process:
- Stop the server.
- Update the Theosis
.jar. - Back up your current
.ymlfiles. - Delete the files and folders listed above.
- Start the server so the new files can generate.
- Manually move your old custom settings into the new files if needed.
I know this process can be a bit annoying, but it is the best way to avoid errors, broken spacing, or old configurations that are no longer compatible with the new systems.

This was a very large update, but with it, Theosis is now in one of its most stable and polished versions so far.
All perks were tested, many internal details were corrected, and several systems that needed cleanup were improved.

Theosis 0.8.6 — Compatibility & Conflict Protection Update
This update focuses on improving compatibility between Theosis and other plugin ecosystems, especially servers using custom enchantments, custom mobs, bosses, RPG items, and visual/effect-based systems.
New:
conflicts_withSupportTheosis now supports
conflicts_within perk configuration.This allows specific perks to be excluded from rolling together when they could create gameplay or technical conflicts.

This is especially useful for perks that modify block breaking, auto-smelting, special mining behavior, or other mechanics that should not run at the same time.
Major Compatibility Improvements
Several Theosis perks were updated to improve compatibility with plugins such as:

- MythicMobs
- MMOItems
- EliteMobs

- Other custom RPG or enchantment systems
New Internal Safety System:
TheosisEffectGuardA new internal utility,
TheosisEffectGuard, was added.This system helps Theosis safely manage its own effects without interfering with effects created by other plugins.
Before this update, some perks could apply or remove potion effects such as:
- Water Breathing
- Night Vision
- Speed
- Haste
- Strength
- Resistance
- Regeneration
- Glowing
On some servers, this could conflict with custom enchantments or boss systems that also use those same effects.
Now, Theosis marks and tracks the effects it applies. When a perk is removed, disabled, expires, or refreshed, Theosis will only clean up effects that were created by Theosis itself.
This means effects from other plugins are no longer removed or overwritten by Theosis perk logic.
Updated Perk Compatibility
The following perk systems were adjusted to be safer around external plugin effects.
Aqua Gills
Improved compatibility with custom underwater enchantments such as AdvancedEnchantments Aquatic.
Theosis now avoids removing external Water Breathing, Dolphin’s Grace, or Night Vision effects when Aqua Gills is removed, disabled, or no longer active.
Nightwatch
Night Vision handling was improved.
Theosis now only removes Night Vision if it was applied by Nightwatch, preventing conflicts with other plugins that provide their own night vision effects.
Enemy Sense
Glow handling was improved.
Enemy Sense now uses protected glow tracking so it does not disable glowing effects applied by MythicMobs, bosses, AdvancedEnchantments, or other plugins.
Threat Ping
Threat Ping now uses Theosis-managed glow instead of directly applying/removing glowing behavior.
This helps prevent visual conflicts with boss systems and custom mob plugins.
Mark Prey
Mark Prey was updated to safely mark targets without removing glow states created by other plugins.
Hawk Eye
Hawk Eye target visuals were updated to use protected glow handling.
It now avoids disabling external glow effects while still allowing Theosis to show its own target highlight.
War Mount
War Mount effects are now managed safely.
Speed, Resistance, and Strength buffs applied by this perk are tracked as Theosis-owned effects.
Berserker Haste
Haste and Strength are now applied through the new guarded effect system.
Quick Hands
Haste handling was updated to use guarded effect application.
Rhythm Miner
Mining speed buffs now use protected Haste handling.
Second Wind
Speed and Regeneration effects are now managed safely by Theosis.
Wet Work
Speed effects from Wet Work are now protected and no longer interfere with external speed buffs.
Feather Tread / Windstep
Speed effects after fall impact now use the guarded effect system.
Clarity
Resistance effects are now applied through TheosisEffectGuard to avoid overwriting or removing external resistance effects.
Overheat
Overheat attribute buffs were made safer.
Attack Damage and Attack Speed modifiers now use Theosis-owned UUIDs and are cleaned up safely on reload or plugin disable without touching modifiers from other plugins.
Summary
Theosis 0.8.6 makes perk behavior much safer on complex servers.
This update is highly recommended for servers using custom enchantments, custom mobs, bosses, RPG items, or visual effect systems.
Theosis should now work much better alongside AdvancedEnchantments, MythicMobs, MMOItems, EliteMobs, ItemsAdder, and similar plugins.
Theosis 0.8.5
Update Notes
- The plugin has been updated and is now compatible with 1.21 and 26.
- Perks were adjusted for Spigot compatibility.
Not all perks are fully functional on Spigot due to platform limitations. - Paper is the recommended platform for Theosis, since all plugin features work properly there.
Even so, the plugin remains functional on Spigot. - Nether structures now generate and place correctly.
- Adjustments were made to the Archer Boss, and it no longer causes crashes.

⚔️ Theosis 0.8.4 — Arcane Library & Gem Removal
The latest Theosis update introduces two fundamental systems: the Arcane Library and Gem Removal.
✨ Gem System: Stonecutter
You can now use the Stonecutter to manage the gems socketed into your gear.
How it works:
- Place an item with socketed gems into the Stonecutter.
- The result will display the same item with one less gem.
- When you take the result:
- 🗑️ The gem is destroyed.
- 🔓 The socket is freed and ready for a new gem.
[!IMPORTANT]
- Gems are removed from top to bottom.
- You cannot choose a specific gem; they must be removed one by one.

📚 New: Arcane Library
Inspired by high-magic systems (like Apotheosis), this structure allows you to centralize and amplify your enchanting power.
Core Features:
- Storage: Store enchanted books directly.
- Accumulation: Convert books into "Power Points" for each specific enchantment type.
- Recombination: Extract books at higher levels based on your stored power.
🧪 Crafting & Structure
To obtain the Arcane Library Barrel, use the following recipe:
- Materials: 5 Eyes of Ender, 1 Barrel, 1 Nether Star.
Crafting Pattern:

🪄 Enchantment Management
- Dynamic Extraction: If you have enough points (e.g., Sharpness), you can choose to extract a Sharpness III, V, or even X book.
- Anvil Compatibility: Extracted books have a unique ID, allowing anvils to correctly apply advanced levels (e.g., Sharpness X, Knockback X).
- Validations: The system prevents invalid levels for single-tier enchantments (e.g., you cannot extract Mending II or Silk Touch II).
🔒 Security & Permissions
We have implemented a control system to protect your progress.
Access Modes
Configurable via the GUI (click the player head icon):
- Public Mode: Any player can use the library.
- Private Mode: Only the owner has full access.
- Individual Access: In Private Mode, the owner can whitelist specific friends by selecting their player heads in the menu.

- Only the owner or players with permission can break or remove the library block.

Theosis 0.8.3 — The Era of Balance
This update brings a major balance pass across the plugin.
A big part of this release is that Theosis is no longer heavily limited by vanilla progression. Weapons and armor are no longer stuck feeling capped by default Minecraft values. Now, depending on item rarity, loot can roll with stronger protection, better damage, and improved scaling that matches its enchantments much better.
What changed
- Reworked item balance to go beyond the usual vanilla feeling.
- Armor and weapons now scale better according to rarity and enchantment strength.
- Loot levels were adjusted for a more rewarding progression.
- Boss health has been rebalanced.
- Several structure details were improved, including block placement and stair adjustments.
- Enchantments received multiple balance changes.
- Some perks were also rebalanced, including Double Jump.
- Double Jump now consumes food when activated.
Boss improvements
Some bosses that previously felt too simple or repetitive have been improved.
- The Shulker Boss now has new attacks and movement patterns.
- The Pillager Boss also received new behaviors to make encounters feel more challenging and dynamic.
Language recommendation
For the cleanest experience and to avoid many translation-related bugs, it is recommended to define the plugin language directly in
config.yml.default_locale: "en_us" fallback_locale: "es_mx"Setting the language in config helps the plugin translate more consistently and keeps the overall experience cleaner.

This update also adds support for:

Theosis 0.8.3 focuses on cleaner progression, better scaling, stronger loot identity, improved boss fights, and a more polished overall experience.

Theosis 0.8.2 Release
This update brings a big wave of new content, improvements, and fixes to Theosis.
New Perks
A lot of new perks were added in this release, bringing the total amount of perks in Theosis up to 80 perks.
One of my personal favorites is the new Universal Tool perk.
This perk can roll on pickaxes, axes, shovels, and hoes, and allows the tool to behave like the correct tool for many different block types. In other words, it lets you use one tool for many kinds of blocks depending on the material. It turned out really fun and satisfying to use.Balance Changes
Besides adding new perks, many existing perks were also adjusted based on player reports over the last few days.
Several perks have now been:
- balanced,
- buffed,
- or tuned to feel better during normal gameplay.
Structure Adjustments
The Snow Tower was slightly edited to avoid interfering with Aeternum Seasons.
Boss Fixes
A reported issue related to the Warm boss appearing in console logs was fixed.
It was not a major problem, but it could have affected spawning behavior, so it has now been corrected.Slime Boss Loot Changes
The Slime Boss was also adjusted so it no longer feels like a walking loot box.
Now:
- its loot has proper chances,
- and its minions also have a chance to drop loot.
This makes the encounter feel more fair and better distributed.
Config Update Improvements
The update system was also improved.
New configuration entries can now be added automatically without requiring server admins to delete their YAML files. This should make future updates much smoother and safer.

🛠 New Admin Command: Level Control (with Lock/Override)

A new tower has been added for the Jungle biome! Tower loot has also been adjusted.

Theosis v0.8.0 — Rebuilt from Scratch (Complete Redesign)
This version is not a normal update: Theosis was rebuilt from the ground up to be more modular, configurable, and server-ready.

This cleanup was intentional so the plugin core is: loot + perks + gems + towers + bosses + variants, without extra features that complicated balance and performance.

- Compatible with Spigot and Paper.
- Paper recommended: better performance and fewer rare runtime/perk issues.
⚠️ Migration Notes (IMPORTANT)
- This version is a rebuild, so:
- Not 1:1 compatible with old configs.
- Review and adapt your values in the new files (
perks.yml,gems.yml,bosses.yml, etc.). - Recommended: install v0.8 as a “fresh install” and then manually copy adjustments.
Fixes: Anvil Rename Bug + Arcane Archer Variant
1) Anvil Rename Bug (vanilla renaming broken)
Problem
Players couldn’t rename items in the anvil.
The result item would appear for a second and then disappear.Cause
The anvil listener was clearing the result whenever either input slot was empty.
- Vanilla renaming uses only the left slot (right slot is empty).
- The plugin treated
right == nullas invalid and forcedevent.setResult(null), so the result “popped” then vanished.
Fix
Allow vanilla anvil operations when the right slot is empty.

Fixed an issue reported by Spodi where the world-spawned food loot sometimes generated incorrectly (or inconsistently).

Anti-free-storage fix: when a player breaks a Barrel or Shulker loot container (depending on the dimension/theme), it no longer drops the container itself — only the loot.
- This prevents players from getting free storage from world loot.
✅ Soulbound Perk (SoulboundEffect)

Fixed compatibility bugs with other plugins (notably SoulGraves). Soulbound now behaves correctly without causing dupes/inventory conflicts.

Improved the perk behavior after it’s consumed:
- Once Soulbound is used, the perk label is removed so it doesn’t keep showing “Kept on death (1 use)” and confuse players.
- After the first death-use, the item no longer has the perk for the next death.
✅ Anvil (Gems / Merges / Exploits)

Fixed “weird anvil behavior” involving:
- inserting gems,
- swapping items mid-operation,
- merging enchanted gear,
- and cases where the gem could be applied without being consumed.

Result: anvil interactions are now stable and polished, with exploit paths closed.
✅ Sugar Cane Growth (Observers Safe)
- Reverted cane growth behavior to be vanilla-safe, because the previous boosted logic could break observer-based farms.
- Cane now grows normally and safely, while still respecting your intended max height behavior (without spammy ticks).
✅ Auto-Update Config & Lang Files

- Se revirtió el comportamiento del crecimiento de la caña para que sea apto para observadores, ya que la lógica mejorada anterior podía afectar las granjas basadas en observadores. * La caña ahora crece de forma normal y segura, respetando la altura máxima deseada (sin ticks spam).

Theosis 3.0 – Loot Colors, Backpack Fix & Translation Cleanup

The 3.0 update of Theosis focuses on making combat, loot, and stability feel much more solid and readable for both players and server admins.
🎒 Backpack: no more soft-locks
A reported bug was fixed where, when taking items out of the backpack, it could:
- Become blocked/locked
- Or get into a weird state where you couldn’t properly interact with it
Now the backpack logic has been adjusted so that when you move or remove items, it no longer gets stuck or blocked.
💎 Loot & boss rarity colors
Loot is now visually clearer thanks to color-coded rarities.
These colors apply both to loot and to boss rarity display:- MYTHIC (Mítico) →
GOLD(gold) - EPIC (Épico) →
DARK_PURPLE(dark purple) - RARE (Raro) →
AQUA(aqua / light blue) - UNCOMMON (Poco común) →
GREEN(green) - COMMON (Común) →
GRAY(gray)
This means:
- A mythic boss will be tied to gold-style loot.
- A common boss will be tied to lower tier loot (green/gray), and so on following the rarity list.
With just a glance at the color, players can better understand how valuable a drop is.
🧪 Variants, effects & console noise
- Annoying Logs and spam in console related to variants and internal controls have been removed or cleaned up.
- Some effects and interactions were tuned to feel more consistent inside the Theosis system, improving overall polish and readability.
🌐 Translations: two stable languages (for now)
To avoid weird translation errors while Theosis keeps evolving, a cleanup was done:
- All extra translations were removed temporarily.
- Only Spanish and English are kept for now.
The plan is:
- Make sure these two languages are fully stable.
- Once the plugin’s text and systems stop changing so much, re-add the previous translations (and maybe more) in a safer, more controlled way.
This helps avoid bugs like missing keys, outdated lines, or broken placeholders in other languages while development is still very active.
⚔️ Elite mobs: no more mid-fight vanishing
Another important bugfix:
- Elites no longer disappear in the middle of combat.
Before, under certain conditions, elites could despawn while players were still fighting them. Now they stay until the fight is resolved.
✅ Summary
Theosis 3.0 is a stability and clarity update:
- Backpack behavior fixed so it doesn’t lock.
- Loot and bosses now clearly indicate rarity by color.
- Console locks and variant-related noise reduced.
- Translations simplified to ES/EN to avoid issues.

Se corrigió un bug reportado donde, al sacar objetos de la mochila, esta podía:

- O entrar en un estado raro donde ya no te dejaba interactuar bien
Ahora se ajustó la lógica de la mochila para que, al mover o sacar ítems, no vuelva a quedarse congelada ni bloqueada.
💎 Colores de loot y rareza de jefes
El loot ahora es mucho más legible visualmente gracias a los colores por rareza.

Con solo ver el color, el jugador puede entender mejor qué tan valioso es el drop.
🧪 Variantes, efectos y bloqueos de consola
- Se eliminaron los Logs molestos y ruido innecesario en consola relacionados con variantes y controles internos.
- Se ajustaron algunos efectos e interacciones para que se sientan más consistentes dentro del sistema de Theosis, mejorando el pulido general.
🌐 Traducciones: dos idiomas estables por ahora
Para evitar errores raros de traducción mientras Theosis sigue cambiando internamente, se tomó una decisión importante:
- Se eliminaron temporalmente todas las traducciones adicionales.
- Solo se conservaron español e inglés.
La idea es:
- Dejar estas dos traducciones totalmente estables.
- Cuando el plugin esté más sólido y el texto deje de cambiar tanto, volver a añadir las traducciones que ya existían antes (y quizá sumar nuevas) sin riesgo de romper cosas.
Esto reduce problemas de claves faltantes, líneas viejas o placeholders rotos en otros idiomas mientras el desarrollo sigue activo.
⚔️ Élites: nada de desaparecer en combate
Otro bug importante corregido:
- Los élites ya no desaparecen en pleno combate.
Antes, en ciertas condiciones, podían esfumarse mientras los jugadores aún peleaban contra ellos. Ahora se quedan hasta el final de la pelea, como debe ser.

Theosis 3.0 es una versión de estabilidad y claridad:
