BlockStreet v2.9.1 adds support for servers running Minecraft 1.21.11

BlockStreet v2.9.0 introduces some improvements:

Features

• It is now possible to customize the icon that is displayed for each company in the plugin's GUIs. This icon can be set when creating the company, or can be updated later on by administrators through the company's data file.
• Help messages for commands displayed when using /invest help are now translatable, allowing admins to translate them to their own language.

BlockStreet v2.8.1 introduces a fix for a bug that would prevent the new notification system from working properly for new players.

BlockStreet v2.8.0 adds some QoL improvements for both players and server administrators:

Features

• The plugin now allows players to disable certain plugin notifications, such as stock updates and/or company bankruptcy.
• New setting in the config.yml that allows server admins to choose whether the plugin should automatically remove bankrupt companies.

BlockStreet v2.7.1 includes an important bug fix to ensure that companies' stocks are properly updated in Paper servers.

This new update (BlockStreet v2.7.0) adds some new features regarding investment profit calculations and some bug fixes. Here's what changed:

Features

• The plugin now tracks the average buy price for each company that a player buys. This will allow the plugin to display certain metrics, such as the player's profit on each investment.
• Players can now check the total profit of their portfolio and quickly understand if they are winning or losing money.
• Added CompanyCreateEvent, CompanyBankruptEvent, CompanyDeleteEvent and CompanyStockUpdateEvent to allow integration with other plugins/systems.

Fixes

• Deleted companies are now automatically deleted from the player's portfolio.

This new update (BlockStreet v2.6.1) adds new features/fixes related to messages and localization, namely:

• Server administrators can now customize the plugin's prefix, headers and footers;
• The reload command will now also reload the messages.yml file.

This new update (BlockStreet v2.6.0) includes bug fixes and a new feature requested by the BlockStreet community:

• Feature: Starting with this update, the UI items will auto-update to reflect updates in the Companies' stock. This works both for the Investments and Companies UIs.
• Fix: The history of the companies is no longer inverted.
• Fix: Right-clicking on a BlockStreet sign will now (once again) display information about the company in the chat.

This new update (BlockStreet v2.5.3) fixes a bug in which the history of a company was inverted, only displaying the first 5 stock variations.

This new update - BlockStreet v2.5.2 - introduces configurable settings that enable admins to have more fine-grained control over investments on their server. Administrators are now capable of:

• Configuring a minimum balance that the player must have after buying shares
  • This value is defined as a percentage of the total value of the player's portfolio in order to be fair to all players.
• Configuring a total maximum number of shares that a player can hold.
  • This prevents one group of wealthy players from acquiring all shares of all companies, leaving poorer players without a chance to invest.

This update - BlockStreet 2.5.1 - adds support for Minecraft 1.21.6.

This new update – BlockStreet v2.5.0 – brings a new feature requested by the BlockStreet community - Player-driven Companies - as well as fixes for some important bugs.

Server & Player Companies

You can now create two distinct types of companies within your server:

Server Companies Created by server administrators, these companies are open to all players with no creation fees or taxes. They can’t be deleted or fully owned by players, making them ideal for permanent, server-wide investments.

Player Companies Players can now start their own companies! To do so, they’ll need to pay the full valuation of the company plus a configurable risk-based tax. This creates new opportunities for entrepreneurial players to build their own stock empires.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a bug where deleted company IDs could be reused, causing ownership conflicts.
• Fixed an issue with parsing company risk values — 0 is now properly rejected.
• Fixed share price only being accepted if it ended up with a decimal part.
• Fixed the Portfolio UI investment item showing incorrect (negative) values when selling stocks.

Market Crashes & Company Bankruptcies

Under certain conditions, certain stocks may crash, and certain companies may become bankrupt (and worthless). Companies with higher risk are more subject to crashes and bankruptcies. Although enabled by default, this mechanism can be disabled through configuration.

• If a company is trading below a certain percentage of its original price, then, there is a certain probability (configurable) for the company's stocks to crash. This probability will be higher for companies with higher risk!
• Whenever the stocks of a company crash, the value of each stock will become 0 and the company will be marked as bankrupt.
• Players can still sell their stocks (although they'll be worthless) but can no longer buy stocks from a bankrupt company.
• Server administrators can use the command /invest delete [companyId] to delete the bankrupt company.
