This update itself isn’t the main highlight — the real deal is that Minecraft is now moving to Vulkan (26.2).
We’re entering a new era: better performance, modern rendering, and a completely new foundation for graphics. Now we wait for new optimization mods, DLSS 5 support and full path tracing
Big things are coming.
Below is an example of what Vulkan can produce in a trace, and what OGL will never be able to:

Minor Update for 1.21.1
Updated
- Updated all mods to their latest versions
- Updated Fabric Loader to the latest version

Beta Update 3 for 26.1!
The previous beta has been removed. Fixed an issue where Minecraft wouldn’t launch because Cloth Config, required for More Culling, was not installed.
Added ImmediatelyFast

Beta Update for 26.1!
Only a small number of mods were updated,
but for those who already want to play on 26.1 — here’s a beta version. For now, there’s nothing else major to add.

Minor update for the latest Minecraft versions.
I am updating 1.21.11, 1.21.10, and 1.21.9. During this time some mods have already been updated. EBE still hasn’t been updated to the newer versions, and I have completely switched to BBE. Async Particles has been temporarily removed because the author archived the mod and, based on my tests, there is no longer any FPS difference. I’m still not sure about ScalableLux, so it won’t be included for now.
From very good news: Mojang plans to move Minecraft from OpenGL to Vulkan, which could give us a huge FPS boost. There is already a mod being developed that aims to add DLSS 4.5 to Java Minecraft, and some shaders already support compatibility with this mod.

During this time, due to the lack of updates for newer versions of Enhanced Block Entities, I turned my attention to the Better Block Entities mod. In my tests, Better Block Entities showed an excellent performance boost compared to Enhanced Block Entities, and overall EBE isn’t available on newer versions anyway, so BBE will become the foundation of the pack. I added ScalableLux, though I’m still not sure if it’s actually needed. AsyncParticles has been discontinued, which is unfortunate. I personally don’t see any performance difference with or without it, but it might matter on weaker hardware, so I’m keeping the mod for now.
P.S. It’s so fun messing around with Voxy and IterationRP. I picked 1.21.8 as the new version because it’s the last one with AsyncParticles and Staaaack

Minor update
It’s very sad that starting next year the Minecraft version naming will change, which means there will no longer be proper, large-scale updates for Minecraft. That is, now we can say for sure that neither players nor mod developers will have any real reason to update to versions above 1.21. Or, due to the removal of code obfuscation, the last version relevant for Minecraft mods will be 26.1.
On a more happier note, IterationRP now supports Voxy, so you can try it out together with my modpack (screenshot with Voxy and IterationRP)

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! FOR 100 000 DOWNLOADS AND 5070!
Recently, Modrinth finally released an update that allows creators to withdraw earnings via cryptocurrency. Until now, I’d been working completely for free — just on enthusiasm — because I had no way to withdraw the dollars sitting in my Modrinth wallet.
And now I managed to cash out $60 — exactly what I was missing to get the 5070! All thanks to YOU! (Of course, my CPU is already struggling, but at this pace, I think we’ll soon save up for an AM5 upgrade too!)
This update is minor — mainly for those who needed version 1.21.9.
🔧 Roadmap for my modpack
What I plan to work on next:
- Even more aggressive cleanup of unnecessary mods/libraries and removal of redundant features already implemented by Sodium with similar efficiency.
- Evaluate ScalableLux and compare it with the vanilla lighting implementation.
- Revisit older versions down to 1.12.2 — improve them, add config options, and fix issues & compatibility.
(By the way, the GPU in the photo is the one I mentioned — and its frame generation is absolutely incredible. It doesn’t even compare to FSR 3 or LSFG)Another minor update
1.21.9 and 1.21.10 have been released. Many critical optimization mods still haven't been updated. The new version of Sodium hasn't made much of a difference yet. Overall, no major updates to the Mega modpack are expected for now.
(Well, on the screen again is my favorite shader IterationRP)

A minor update, just to keep the modpack in an "active" state.
Just updates to mods and the Fabric version.
Honestly, nothing much is happening. The developers aren’t releasing major Minecraft updates, the mod creators aren’t keen on updating their mods or adding new features, and I don’t have any new ideas for the modpack. So, don’t expect any major updates in the near future
(and yes, it looks like now my whole sky will be from IterationRP)

Full release version! Mods with which the Angelica mod worked poorly and which did not affect fps were removed. All mods updated
Configs and settings from me were added. The mod turned out to be excellent for 1.7.10, Sodium was transferred to such an old version, and also with all the Optifine features and from other optimization mods
P.s And yes, I liked IterationRP too much, so it looks like all the screenshots will now be with it

Updated all mods
Fixed file size due to Prism launcher problem, which transferred absolutely all files, even those that I did not select

1.21.8 - ok
Hotfix rage hotfix? Well done Mojang

Minor Update for 1.21.7

5.0 version! Release! The biggest update by the number of versions. What's new?
- Forge versions were returned and updated
- NeoForge 1.21.1 was added
- I went through the mod removal again, removed a new pack of unnecessary mods! Smoke Suppression - since its function is performed in vanilla, and this mod still weakly expands it and rarely increases performance. The second mod is Sodium Extra. Yes, I have been trying to remove it for a long time, and only now I came to this. This mod itself does not perform any optimizations. And its settings are very weak in increasing FPS, they only take up a lot of space in the interface. Now I consider it a customization mod, but not an optimization
- In older versions, I also made improvements: Cloth Config was removed from all versions before 1.20. In 1.16.5, due to the fact that there is no Clumps mod for it, I added its fork - Fat Experience Orbs.
- Now the standard is only 16 mods!
