Thanks to JoeFly rewriting the datapack trimming system, the mod can now be compatible with modded trims & tools.
- Trims are now compatible with modded weapons & tools
#tooltrims:trimmable_toolsnow contains#minecraft:swords,#minecraft:pickaxes, and so on- If a tool is not compatible, either add it to the relevant tag yourself via a datapack or ask the author to do that
- Fallback compatibility will attempt to decide which trim textures a tool should have based on its name
- This will not be correct in all cases, so the system is fully customizable with resourcepack
- Fallback compatibility only supports tool types that exist in vanilla, i.e. sword, spear, pickaxe, axe, shovel, and hoe
- Compatibility with modded trim patterns, trim materials, and trim shapes can now be added via resourcepack
- A wiki documenting the format will be created soon. For now, see the source code: materials, patterns & overlays
- Different mods/datapacks can separately add patterns & materials or trim shapes & materials and everything should be compatible and render correctly
- Mods/datapacks adding new patterns and new trim shapes will need manual compat since this necessitates new textures
- Simplify loot injection
- Loot is now less accurate to the datapack but more compatible with other mods/datapacks
- Now uses Datapatched for loot injection
- Asset paths now match the datapack
- A resourcepack modifying the datapack will work for the mod too
- Item IDs have been changed
- Registry aliases have been added to handle migration, but make backups just in case
- Update textures & migration to match datapack 3.x.x
- If you want to upgrade from datapack 2.x.x, you must use datapack 3.x.x to migrate your items before migrating to the mod
- See main page for migration instructions
- Various internal cleanup
This matches datapack v3.0.1-beta
