Inverted gearshift and inverted clutch are unpowered, causing them to act like a powered (normal) gearshift and a powered (normal) clutch. The brass gearbox has no sides covered, causing it to act just like a normal gearbox would.

The inverted gearshift and clutch are powered, causing them to act like encased shafts, and the brass gearbox has the side towards the camera blocked, stopping rotational transfer on the center shafts.
